Reliable ‘crowd pleaser’ lovely wiry stems with neat compound leaves topped with a mass of delicate pea-like flowers during May & June in rich purple - blue shades. Lovely dead heads are a bonus.

Upright prairie grass native to the United Kingdom. Very easy to grow and best planted behind low growing slightly more attractive plants. Large oat like seed heads erupt from August through to September ageing golden.

Upright herbaceous perennial native to northern America. Often called the false aster bearing aster like white small flowers with good yellow centres. Leaves are flat greyish green and not very aster like at all. Makes a good drought resistant border plant and cut flower.

As the name suggests rather rich blood red or deeper foliage on a heritage beetroot variety which has become a somewhat fashionable border plant. Amusing in many places around the garden and easy.

Native to Greece this shrubby perennial is covered in the most delightful wooly foliage which has the appearance of a duvet you just want to slip into. Small pink flower, uninteresting in summer. Makes a neat mound and is reliably hardy once established.
